How To: Glittery Cake Decorations

Dress up any cake with easy, glitter numbers or letters.  Spell a name or a year, like I did for a New Year's Eve cake. I made these double sided so the cake will look just as pretty from the back.

You'll need a sheet of glitter paper from the craft store (I found mine at Michael's,) bamboo skewers, regular school glue and scissors.

Happy New Year!!!

  1. Cute! I've never seen that glitter paper before, either. Have to remember that when it comes to party stuff!

(Sorry this comment is a bit late... catching up on my reader.)

  2. Weird how I stumbled on your blog post today as I am in the middle of baking a birthday cake and need a cute and easy topper. I happen to have skewers and scrapbook paper on hand. Thanks for the idea.
